LTTA – Designing Inclusive Mobility Tools for VET Educators
“When everyone is included, everyone wins” – Jesse Jackson
IMVET project`s 1st Learning, Teaching & Training Activity (LTTA) took place in Patras in Greece at 19th -21st November 2024 hosted by The Directorate of Secondary Education (DSE) of Achaia.
The goal of this LTTA was to design and draft the specifications for useful tools to help VET teachers and school staff personnel to provide more inclusive mobility programs for VET students with disabilities.
Long project and ambitious goals! How do we ensure the success of this project?
Read here the full LTTA report!
During the LTTA days we got insight into the needs and barriers which VET (Vocational Education and Training) students with disabilities face before, during and after their mobility. There was at least one teacher and student participating from each country.

Partners shared their experiences and ideas for inclusive Erasmus+ possibilities for diverse learners during vocational diploma education. Especially the role of the students who participated was crucial! They were motivated in all activities. They talked openly about their thoughts and opinions. Workshops with students and teachers from each participating countries, cultural exchanges, and collaboration fueled new ideas for developing a toolkit for VET professionals with a self-assessment tool and practical guidelines on how to make mobility programs more inclusive for students with disabilities.
The expected final outcomes include a fully developed, tested, and accessible self-assessment tool, ready for immediate use by VET (Vocational Education and Training) professionals. Additionally, the tool will be tailored to meet the needs of VET professionals and institutions.
In the evenings, everybody got to participate in a lot of amazing cultural activities. Tuesday evening, we learned about history of Patras during a guided walking tour in Patras city center. Cultural sightseeing included Patras St. Andrew Church, Trion Navarchon Alley, Ipsila Alonia Square, Ancient Roman Conservatory / Theatre of Patras and Ancient Castle of Patras. Knowledge about history increased also on Wednesday, when we visited the Archaeological Museum of Patras. Wednesday evening, we participated guided tour in Achaia CLAUSS traditional winery with wine tasting. Thursday before dinner we participated traditional folk dancing. It was very fun! After dance a few dancers took us to the back, in changing room, where they showed us beautiful, old and unique folk-dance costumes. These LTTA days included also very tasty Greek traditional salty and sweet treats, lunches and dinners!
Thank you very much Maria, Kyriaki and Nick for hosting and organizing this warm-hearted and memorable 1st LTTA event!
